Preparations- Decoction: 1 clove, 1 c water
- Infusion: Grate fresh clove and infuse in carrier oil
- Poultice (external use): Crust or mince
- Bolus: Insert bruised clove in vagina. Sometimes helpful to thread with dental floss for easy removal in morning.
- Tincture/Extract: 1:1 30-60 drops, 1-3 xday
Contraindications- May cause GI disturbance in sensitive individuals
- Should be avoided by individuals with hot constitution
- Acute inflammation
- Insomnia
- Dehydration
